Adam is a tech founder, starting Cornerstone in 1999 in his one-bedroom apartment to help people realize their potential. Leading for two decades as CEO, Adam grew the company to over 3,000 employees in more than 25 countries delivering over one billion courses as the world’s premier people development company. Under his leadership, Cornerstone went public in 2011 and has become one of the largest cloud computing companies in the world. 

Adam is also an avid social entrepreneur. As Chair of Team Rubicon from 2013-2020, Adam helped the team grow the nonprofit from 500 to over 100,000 volunteers and create America’s leading veterans service organization, which leverages the skills of military veterans to provide humanitarian aid globally. As Chair of the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, he helped deliver over $125M of social impact and launched WorkforceReady, NonprofitReady and DisasterReady, which provide online training and resources to help people who help people. He led the merger of FAAN and FAI to create FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), the world’s largest voluntary health organization serving the food allergic community, and he helped build the UCLA Food Allergy Program. 

An active philanthropist, investor and advisor, Adam is the Managing Partner of 1P Ventures, 1P Impact Capital, and AllerFund. Adam is the Chair of dotOrg Technology, a cloud computing company helping nonprofit organizations to maximize their impact. He was named CEO of the Year in 2009 by the Technology Council and was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2011. In 2019, Adam was named as one of the best CEOs for women in technology. Adam also has played a leading role in harnessing the power of the tech sector to give back to Los Angeles, including the founding of LA-Tech.org and the launch of the 1,000 Interns Initiative, which is providing internships at LA’s tech companies for a thousand students of color.

Adam is a strong believer in the importance of education. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a BS from its Wharton School of Business, a JD from the UCLA School of Law, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, and earned both CPA and Series 7 certifications. But it was his two-year solo trip around the world in his twenties that best prepared him to operate globally.
