Laura M. Olson

Laura has devoted her career to principled humanitarian action and safeguarding individual rights and liberties, working in both the governmental and non-profit sectors. While with the federal government, Laura served at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and at the U.S. Department of State.

She has had varied experience in the non-profit arena, including several positions within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Laura holds an LL.M. in international legal studies from New York University School of Law and a J.D. and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Iowa.
