Pierre Atlas

Academic and Gun Owner

Pierre Atlas is a Senior Lecturer in the Public Affairs and Criminal Justice programs at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Indianapolis. Dr. Atlas has devoted much of his career to researching and writing about violent conflicts and conflict resolution. He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses, including a course on gun culture and policy. He also writes a monthly opinion column for the Indianapolis Business Journal.

A U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Atlas is a gun owner and NRA life member since 1997.
